Imposing a lockdown will not be necessary if people abide by the 11 directives recently issued to curb the spread of the coronavirus, Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said.
Lockdowns put a huge strain on a country’s economy, the minister said during an event at Manikganj Sadar Hospital on Saturday.
“The whole world has been seeing a surge in Covid-19 cases and Bangladesh is no exception,” he said.
